Loves Of Our Lives--A Remembrance Workshop
Remembering, cherishing, honoring, and celebrating the loves of our lives—lovers, friends, parents, pets.  Discover new ways to process grief and loss by celebrating love and memories.  Create a framed memory collage that acts as a living reminder of those who should not be forgotten. Bring copies of your photos, letters and memorabilia, I provide paint, decorative papers, embellishments and a distinctive frame.  There will be time to share our stories and celebrate the lives of our loved ones together.

Don’t Box Yourself In
Come let yourself play!  Decorate round, nesting paper containers with paint, collage, and magic.  Great for your own treasures or to give as gifts.  Containers and lots of interesting materials provided but please bring some personal bits—letters, quotes, photos--to make your creation your own amazing object of art.

The Stories You Tell Yourself
Do you tell yourself you’re fat, have a “black” thumb, lack creative ambition? Do you believe you simply don’t have time to live a more creative life?  Do you sabotage yourself?  Are you the last thing on your personal “to do” list?  Gentle but powerful prompts are used to jump-start your creativity!  A small “Create Yourself” journal is provided to decorate and fill with affirmations.

Pen & Paint A Poem
Join poet Kaitlin Meadows to create a poem of your own (or select one of your own favorites) and then embellish and frame it!  Frames and papers provided—you find a poem you love or come let Kaitlin help you create your own.  A great gift and a wonderful way to bring poems to life with your art.

Re Frame Your Perspective!
Paradigm shift.   Changing gears.  Spring is coming!  Recreate yourself by reinventing the way you see things.  Using recycled frames and “found” art & objects, participants will create a unique visual reminder to celebrate themselves and their creativity.  Old frames, papers, artistic junk provided but you are urged to bring your own special “stuff” to make it an even more meaningful gift to yourself.

Sweet Dreams: Sacred Dream Pillow Case
“Sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite” and come make a Sacred Dream Pillow Case.  Participants will paint, draw, and embellish a plain white pillowcase with mythic images or, maybe, wise woman lullabies. We’ll add a silk sachet of lavender flowers for sweet, soulful dreams.

Hankies From The Heart
Come make a love letter valentine handkerchief by decorating, painting, embellishing, and transforming at least two plain white hankies into messages from your heart.  All materials provided…but bring quotes or poems or anything special you’d love to say to someone close to your heart.

Creating Earth Goddesses
Getting down and dirty with your inner Mud Woman!  Create a divine dirt goddess (or animal totem) that connects you to your primordial feminine wisdom and then create a naming story for your mud woman.

Hand Job
In this two part workshop we’ll make a wonderful, whimsical hand puppet and embody its character through a small play. Part one: We’ll talk about the history of puppetry and invent our own character by making paper mache heads and hand.  Part Two: We’ll paint, dress and embellish our puppets and create a spontaneous play with the characters we’ve created.  All supplies provided.

Thanks-Giving
Let’s create a gratitude wreath!  Learn how to be grateful and come from a place of abundance rather than resentment and deprivation. Participants will make a Thanks-giving wreath with potent symbols of their commitment to gratitude and abundance.  All supplies provided.

It’s A Wrap
A year-end summary and celebration. “Where have I been, who have I lost and found, what have I accomplished, where do I go from here?”  Bring your calendar or datebook to remind yourself about your year and we’ll make a treasure map to mark our journey.
Yes I Can!
Create a New Year’s affirmation journal!  Not guilty resolutions, not promises to yourself likely to get broken, but affirmations for prompting the emergence of your best self and fulfillment of simple dreams.  All supplies provided
.

Here are some of the Creativity Workshops I facilitate.

Spiritual Archaeology—Unearthing Your Soul’s Creativity:
Combining symbol, song line, and circle to free our ancient muses.  I create a sacred, nurturing atmosphere with music, ritual and focused meditation so we can embark on a creative rite of passage together.  Fostering a relaxed, supportive atmosphere of creativity in a kinship circle setting, this series awakens sleeping or dormant divine feminine connections to the sacred well of creativity. This series is especially encouraging for newly emerging artists or those who have lost their spark.

Re-Imagining Our Lives:  A Pilgrimage Of Possibility
Pilgrimage is a sacred journey, a metaphor for the process of seeking.  Possibility is vivid limitlessness.  Join a powerful women’s circle designed to encourage and support creativity and re-create a life of new possibilities
.

Here is an installation project I do for women’s centers, children’s spaces and galleries.

Hands of the Muses: An Installation
Participants create a mini mural by contributing their hand prints to a “River of Creativity” on a thin, one foot by 6 foot piece of plywood with a pre primed and painted background, paints and hand cleaning supplies will be provided.
